Winning awards is always fun, but winning an award at the first time of asking, voted by a panel of leading mobile industry figures, and in the face of some pretty stiff competition is really rather special.
This year was the first time that Ensygnia had entered the Mobile Industry Awards - attracted by a brand new category for best software solution. The Awards are in their tenth year, attract a lot of entries from star names and culminate in a glittering ceremony in central London.
So last night, when comedian and compere Andrew Ryan said those magic words - "and the winner is Ensygnia" - the team's celebrations were long, loud and hearty!

Co-Founders Richard H Harris and Matt Deacon stepped up to collect the prize and afterwards CTO Matt had this to say:
"The last two years have been an incredible journey and to get this industry recognition for what we have developed and are now deploying is some very nice icing on top of a very good cake.
"The platform team in particular have done a tremendous job refining the App," he added. "Adding new customer-inspired features and progressing our first customer integrations. Obviously there's always more to do - but this is a ringing endorsement of our progress so far and a tribute to the talents and skills of the whole team."
Meanwhile the judges had this to say: "In the age of digital retailing, Ensygnia's Onescan solution offers a means to join up the online, in-store and mobile experiences. It is a taste of things to come."
We could not agree more.
